For the prices they charge, this is definitely a bad image for them.
Food is always delicious! We drive over an hour each way to eat here. The last 2 times the staff has been rude. Was treated so rudely the last time could not stay to eat. Really disappointing bc the food is so good, it's fresh & made to order. Lots of seafood & non seafood vegetarian options. Have been here a half dozen times this summer but will def not be back. Talked to locals, all said the staff is known for being rude.
Good food. Good prices. Banana garlic chicken wings were amazing! Drinks werent super strong but we're not watered down either. All together a very good dining experience. The inside was small and did feel crowded but the outside was very nice. It was a cool night and they offered us blankets if we wanted them. We felt very welcomed and very well taken care of
The fried plantain sandwich was good, but the stew was horrible. The squid or octopus was so gummy and hard, it was either uncooked or over cooked. What really irked me was the fact that the sweet potato was raw, I mean raw. Not a little raw, but very raw. I kindly asked the waitress to REMOVE the sweet potatoes. She nicely took my plate. When the plate comes back, the stew is steaming hot, but the sweet potatoes are still on my plate. I didn'tt eat it. Dumbfounded!
I'm not a picky guy. I understand we all have bad days, even the most professional of us. That being said, good customer service should never be sacrificed. The waitress was great, but the food was underwhelming, and that's putting it lightly.
The food here is pretty good I can’t complain I’ve been going here for a few years probably since 2014. The only thing they really need improvement on is there waitstaff they’ve had some turnover, And sometimes I just to seem too busy to be bothered. I would give them four stars if they improve their service. But overall I would say their food is worth the money.
Had the seafood stew. It was fantastic. Chorizo, shrimp, clams, salmon, swordfish, calamari in a flavorful tomato based soup, a little be of spice, but not too much. All of it tender- not over cooked. Oh and sweet potato chunks mixed in. The wait staff/bartender was great. I got no complaints.
Sadly, the restaurant didn't even have the decency to remove the charge for the dish. Just terrible.
