Had Atwood simply filed a double jeopardy claim before the start of the second trial I would’ve never seen a day in prison. We made a contract with the comm that was signed saying that I was going home on probation for a simple rsp over charge. . After the plea was excepted in open court Atwood then calls the witnesses “very pathetic.” That enraged the judge enough to retract my plea which by law is not allowed! Atwood also agreed upon a price of $10,000 then he doubled that to 20k and then now he tripled it to $30,000. If you want somebody to represent DO NOT. HIRE ATWOOD! Jack Atwood is not your man. I’m Publicly posting this so you can call me before you hire this in adequate ineffective and reckless lawyer. My decision by the appeals board came out in March 6 lawyers weekly.this lawyer I was passed his prime. So much more that went wrong Including atwood suggested I hire appellant counsel Jeanne Kempthorne who did not even provide the brief to me, after I paid her $22,000. Protect yourself and hire lawyer who is still in the ballgame not this washed up bum.
Could not have been worse. Atwood cost me 50 months in prison. Over a simple rsp charge as a local buyer a local license buyer failing to raise the 5th Amendment double jeopardy Clause of the United States Constitution.. you’re right not to be punished twice for the same crime.
