Great store. Not as busy (yet?) as Bourne location, and they do a good job with keeping items in stock. Nice big parking lot and nearby traffic lights which are helpful and necessary. Close to Colony Plaza and exit 7. Usually stays plowed well in winter time. Other new businesses going up nearby now as well.
Very clean, friendly staff, competitive prices. The selection is not always great. For example they don't carry any dried chilis which I use a lot in sauces and rubs. They're also lacking in some ingredients commonly used in ethnic dishes. But for what they have the quality is good.
Nightmare doing a large shopping trip using paper, especially on weather days.. so buying less & less per trip.. Who has the time, so choosing Shaws Carver, for "big" shopping
Very Competitive, Always packed, but reasonable checkout times.. minus a ☆ for switching to paper bags and not training staff how to actually pack paper bags..
Market Basket Has EXTREMELY Low Prices And A Vast Selection Of Brand Named Foods. Their Bakery/Deli/Pizza Shops Are Amazing. Most Of The Staff Are Friendly & Helpful. Their Produce Quality & Prices Literally Can't Be Beaten. Their Bathrooms Are Clean & Handicap Accessible. Ample Parking With Plenty Of Handicap Parking. It's VERY Crowded, But The Secret Of Market Basket's Greatest Is Well Known Now. I'd Give Market Basket 10 Stars If I Could.
Market basket has good prices, a great variety of foods and the staff are generally nice. They are, however, chronically understaffed, at least in the prepared food section (pizza, subs, hot foods). It shows on the faces of their staff too. They get burnt out and irritable at times and the food is hit or miss; either dry/overcooked, or cooked reasonably well and looks/tastes fresh.
